Some days start off wrong and never quite get on track.
Sometimes start properly doesn’t mean that you are going to follow through. Honestly sometimes if you start well then you rationalize that you can take a break and then that break stretches out until nothing gets done all day.
Having clear goals for a day and executing them early is the path to a good day. It seems easy. It seems clear. But for some reason it doesn’t always happen.
One thing that has become clear to me with working out is that most of the time I don’t want to do it. But I have become used to the ritual of showing up at the gym and ignoring all of the thoughts and urges to give up and leave. If I just keep pushing through and attack my workout then everything works out.
Lost days happen when you don’t attack. When you don’t prioritize. You have to push through the first few waves of mental resistance to find flow and happiness. Because progress is usually hidden behind a curtain of lazy thoughts.
